Supporting reproductive choice,

one vote at a time.

Welcome.

With election season approaching, we at APWHC feel it's our moral obligation to encourage all of our patients to get involved in this year’s upcoming elections. Right now, it’s more important than ever to vote - there are several candidates running for public office at all levels who are aiming to take away our personal freedoms and dignities. We urge folks to learn more about candidate policy positions and have a voting plan!

To put it plainly - since the Dobbs decision in 2022, abortion has been banned or severely restricted in 21 states across the country. The South is heavily impacted by this - 7 of the 8 Southern states have either a 6-week or total abortion ban (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, SC, TN; NC has a 12-week ban, but depending on election outcomes, it’s very possible that NC will see a total ban enacted within a year).

To ensure that abortion can remain legal and accessible, pro-choice candidates must be elected down the ballot. Whether you cast your ballot during early voting, with an absentee or mail-in ballot, or by going to the polls on election day, make sure your voice is heard!
