Support Resources.

  • Despite what anti-choice protesters may claim, APWHC (or any abortion clinic, for that matter) will not push or encourage a patient’s decision about electing to undergo an abortion.

This must be repeated, emphasized, and said with our entire chest:

IT’S YOUR BODY, IT’S YOUR CHOICE.

The unfortunate reality is that not all patients have the personal support they need to feel empowered in their choices. While we have your back, we know that sometimes patients want different opinions. APWHC uses the following links as resources for patients seeking additional support:

    All-Options

    Exhale Pro-Voice

    Faith Aloud

    Connect and Breathe

  • We’re gonna let you in on a little secret:

    Abortion providers are superheroes.

It’s true - abortion providers face daily harassment and intimidation from protesters, intense stress from the constant barrage of anti-abortion legislation, and emotional exhaustion from being the best support possible to their patients. Since the pandemic, healthcare has been a particularly brutal profession; since the Dobbs decision, it’s become even more taxing. Despite this, there is not a lot of assistance or support out there for abortion providers.

APWHC is invested in supporting our community of providers - so much so, that we are launching a mental health initiative for front-line abortion care workers. As we get this project up and running, we will update you more. If you’re interested in assisting with our initiative project, please use the contact form and connect with us! In the mean time, here are a few organizations we trust with our emotional needs:

    Organizations with Provider Appreciation/Support Initiatives

    Abortion Access Front

    Shout Your Abortion

    Mental Health Resources

    Mental Health America

    Charlotte Women’s Counseling
